Booking Management

How can I view or cancel my bookings?

You can manage your bookings through the "My Bookings" section on your dashboard. You’ll see a list of your upcoming and past bookings with options to cancel within a defined timeframe.

Can I modify a booking after it has been confirmed?

You cannot modify a confirmed booking directly. However, you may cancel the booking and create a new one based on availability.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

Go to the "My Bookings" section, click on the booking you want to cancel, and provide a reason for the cancellation.

What happens if I miss my booked time slot?

If you miss your booking, you may lose the time slot and any associated tokens. It’s best to cancel in advance if you cannot attend.

Can I reschedule my booking instead of canceling it?

Rescheduling options depend on the instrument and its availability. You will need to cancel your current booking and create a new one based on available time slots.

How many bookings can I have at the same time?

The number of simultaneous bookings depends on the type of instrument and your account permissions. Check the instrument’s booking rules for more details.

How does an officer forward a request to the Nodal Officer for approval?

Officers can forward requests to the Nodal Officer directly through the SAHAJ portal. Once a request is submitted, it appears in the Nodal Officer’s dashboard, where they can review the booking details, eligibility, and required documentation before approving or rejecting the request.

What is the maximum time an officer can take to approve a request once forwarded to the Nodal Officer?

While specific timeframes may vary by institution, it is generally expected that a request should be approved within 24-48 hours after being forwarded to the Nodal Officer, ensuring minimal delay in the booking process.

Is a user allowed to reschedule their booking if they cancel it the first time?

Yes, users are generally allowed to reschedule a booking if they cancel the initial booking, provided they follow the portal’s cancellation policy and reschedule within the available booking slots.

What steps can a user take if their request gets rejected?

If a request is rejected, the user may:

  1. Review the rejection reason and correct any issues (e.g., missing documents).
  2. Reapply with the corrected information or documents.
  3. Contact the Nodal Officer or PI directly for clarification or to discuss potential adjustments that may help in resubmitting the booking request.
