Analytical Ultracentrifuge (AUC)'s Details

• Contact the facility in-charge for machine booking and kindly stick to the booked slot. • The facility can be booked for Monday-Friday, except public holidays. • The facility in-charge will operate the machine for all users. • Details of samples, number of samples and buffers must be given to the facility in-charge in the prescribed format, before the start of experiment. • The rotor speed must not exceed 42,000 rpm while using Epon charcoal centerpieces. • Quartz windows are to be used for absorbance experiments and Sapphire windows for interference experiments. • Only one run per day is allowed for sedimentation velocity experiments. • Number of samples per run will depend on the rotor type. • Usage of machine overnight and over the weekend is discouraged. • Advance payment for machine usage must be made before experiment start, depending on the proposed number of days being planned. Further adjustments with respect to payment will be made after the experiments. • Kindly cooperate with us to help maintain a functional machine.

Machine access will not be given unless complete sample information is provided. Experiments are to be done by our Facility In-Charge only. The maximum number of consecutive days one user can book will depend on machine availability. Regarding sample and buffer information, please discuss before starting the experiments. The sample cells will be cleaned, assembled and disassembled by the Facility In-Charge Data copying information will be provided by the facility In-Charge. Only one run per day is allowed. Usage of the facility over the weekend is discouraged.
